Students in the Software and Systems Development pathway prepare for careers related to computer science that involve the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and management of systems that rely on software programs to satisfy the operational needs of modern business organizations.

Pathway Sequence

Comp Prog 1

Sophomores in the Software and Systems Development pathway will explore conceptual ideas of computing and basic programming skills.

NEW MEDIA I

This course engages student learning in Digital Media through hands-on projects and “real world” activities. As Juniors, students will develop a specific set of skills in the field of Digital Media, such as graphic design, web design, 3D Modeling, app design, video editing, and media concepts.

COMPUTER SCIENCE & PROGRAMMING 

To understand the principles of computer science and programming, students explore various computer science principles. While engaging in a diverse range of exploratory problems, Seniors will learn computer science principles, UI/UX design, data management/analysis, JavaScript, app development, and career exploration. 

CTSO-ESPORTS

Esports embraces students' passion for competitive gaming to foster collaboration, creativity and inclusion.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

Students in the Software & Systems Development pathway have the opportunity to be certified in MOS, Microsoft Technology Associate, IC3, & Adobe Creative Suite
